"I am not going to crash," Neil says, voice even and flat, but Andrew feels him shift again in unease.
"No? When was the last time you were sick?" Andrew asks. Then he tilts his head and narrows his eyes, deciding to go for the throat to stop any further back-and-forths. "And by that I mean when was the last time you were allowed to be sick?"
Neil crashes. Andrew deals with it.

"Hey," he says, light and easy. And then, suddenly, he thinks I love you.
It's a simple fact. The sky is blue, 80% of his income goes to Ichirou Moriyama, Kevin will always be upset whenever he wears Bears merch, and Neil Abram Josten loves Andrew Minyard.
But it almost slips out. Somewhere between his brain and his tongue, his usual filter seems to have dismissed itself from duty, and those three words are very nearly said with the same kind of easiness as hey. Like this is their usual greeting. Like this is a typical back-and-forth. Like this is something they say to each other at all.
The day Neil moves in with Andrew, three words just won't disappear from his tongue.

Summary
If they make a single wrong move when the Moriyamas might be behind Neil's disappearance, then they will cost him his life.
Kevin can't do anything if it's them. Neither can Jean. If Neil is in their hands, then it is too late already, and there is nothing anyone can do.
But Jean, brave, doesn't falter. "This isn't their doing."
Just as Nathan's trial starts to conclude, Neil goes missing. Jeremy watches the fallout, and comes to realise a few things.
