It started innocently enough. Jackie Pike was having coffee with her friend at a café in Montreal, completely unaware that the woman at the next table had her phone propped up, recording what she thought would be a cute video for her book club's group chat.
What she actually captured was Jackie Pike, wife of Montreal Voyageurs alternate captain Hayden Pike, saying some very interesting things.
The video went viral within hours.
Now, the internet thinks she's have an affair with Ilya Rozanov. And Hayden is too.

Harris came up with the bright Idea to film a silly little video to post on the centaurs social media page. They did a “Try to guess the real couple” video. The video showed multiple teammates being affectionate to each other. Shane and Ilya also had a moment in the video, but the fans, who don’t know about their relationship, who just started learning about hockey, misinterpreted the scene of them as a toxic workplace environment. But they posted an extended video that showed what actually happened afterwards.

“And a freak in the sheets,” Ilya said, solemnly. “You cannot leave out the freak in the sheets.”

Ilya Rozanov is in a very good mood at the All-Stars weekend, when Marlow starts ragging on him about his mysterious Montreal girl, Jane. The Centaurs, of course, have never heard of her.
Ilya starts praising Jane to the moon and back ... just in time for Shane Hollander and his Voyageurs teammates to stroll up.
Hayden Pike nearly has a heart attack. J.J. laughs and points out that Shane has a mysterious girlfriend, too. And Shane, to Ilya's surprise, leans right in. Even when Marlow asks ... well, whose secret girlfriend is hotter?
(Hypothetically set after the All-Stars Game during Book Six/The Long Game, but I didn't make an effort to match the canonical events at the game. No real spoilers for the Long Game, I think?)
