Realisation floods Zhang Hao's face, eyes widening. He presses two fingers to Hanbin's lips. “Don’t,” he says softly. “Don’t ruin it.”
Jeju, he discovers, can be its own world.

“He’s not a flirt,” Hao said, the words falling out of his mouth a little too fast.
Everyone stared at him, various shades of amusement on their faces. “I mean,” he clarified, clearing his throat. “He’s just… friendly.”
“Friendly,” Jiwoong echoed, unconvinced. “And he just so happened to choose the seat next to you in class?”
“Let me guess, did he ask to call you hyung, too?” Taerae added, smirking.
“Careful, hyung. At this rate, it sounds like he’ll ask you to be his date to the Yule Ball,” Ricky teased.
Hao bit his lip, refusing to look at any of them.

Hanbin likes someone. Tragically, to Zhang Hao, the possibility of Hanbin liking him is zero. So he does what any reliable hyung would do: he offers to help Hanbin—sweet, inexperienced Hanbin—win that man over.
It kind of works, except it doesn’t.
“Trust your hyung, Hanbin-ah,” he says, forcing confidence into his voice. “I know everything there is to know about love and seduction.
The truth is, Zhang Hao knows none of that.

Summary
It's fitting that he realises he loves Hanbin while he's watching him tear out another tribute's throat with his teeth. He had expected that it would be earth-shattering, maybe, something similar to the depictions in the romance novels he used to read. But Zhang Hao only traces Hanbin's form on the screen, his staunch refusal to cede victory, and thinks oh, I love him.
If only Zhang Hao knew winning the Games would be the easy part.
