Vi rolled her eyes as Caitlyn followed her into the bathroom, whirling on her the second the door closed.
“What the fuck is your deal? Thought it might be fun to slum it for the night with the gutter trash who rescued you out there? You’re welcome, by the way.”
“No, I–” Caitlyn made a noise of frustration, face scrunching up, and then she was really fuckin’ close.
Vi held her breath, not wanting to break the weird fucking moment.
“You’re infuriating,” Caitlyn breathed, and Vi tried - and failed - not to shiver when warm breath ghosted over her lips.
“Yeah, well–” Vi started to snark back…and then Vi’s night was officially the weirdest she’d had in a while, because Caitlyn Kiramman, conservative politician’s daughter, was kissing her like she was fucking starving and Vi was an all-you-can-eat buffet in the desert.

“I invited you, because you are the only other woman in a position of leadership - within the military” Caitlyn answered plainly. “I want to get to know you. I believe that an alliance between the two of us could be most fruitful”
“And have I lived up to your expectations, so far?” Vi dared ask, her lips curling up to yet another cheeky grin.
“Quite” Caitlyn told her as a smile tugged on the corner of her lips. “I expected much worse from a daughter of Ares” she admitted with a guilty hum to her voice.
The confession made Vi chuckle. “Well, I expected a lot worse of Athena’s precious daughter as well… but apparently neither of us is a great judge of character”
“I am an excellent judge of character” Caitlyn sharply remarked - once more the spiting image of her divine mother.

“I always loved summer,” Caitlyn tells the young woman across from her, “because, in the summer, my parents and I made the trek out to our summer house in Zaun.”
Caitlyn smiles as memories washed over her like the gentle waves on the lake - sandy feet, the county fair, ice cream smeared on her nose, the warmth of the sunburn that came from days spent lying on the dock.
She looks out the window, watching the midday sun sparkle off a lake that was nearly untouched by the years and the memories.
“Miss?”
“Hmm?” Caitlyn says, turning toward the source of the gentle prompt. “Oh, I’m terribly sorry. I’m afraid I became lost in thought.”
The young woman nods kindly, and Caitlyn’s eyes sparkle as she continues, the expression seeming to smooth the lines on her face, fade the white from her hair. “I especially loved the summer after I turned seventeen. That was a special summer.”

Summary
Caitlyn is a top student, cheerleader, and athletic captain at Piltover Prep, an elite private school. Vi plays soccer at Zaun Public High School, Piltover's rival school.
Recent defunding of public schools in the area leads to the closing of Zaun HS, leaving an entire school of students without an education. Until the issue is resolved, the city council decides that ZHS will merge with Piltover Prep for the year.
Tensions are high as students are mixed into this new environment, and even higher on the newly reformed sports teams, forced to learn how to work together after years of rivalry.
Vi, to her own misfortune, manages to piss off Queen Bee Caitlyn Kiraman on the first day of school, making an enemy of the girl who controls her life in school sports.
She just made her life a whole lot harder...loosely inspired by the valentine’s day splash art (like really, really loosely)
