Summary
It begins as a curious meeting of the minds, where Aloy asks about Tenakth customs and Kotallo is more than happy to speak about his people. A woman whose desire for knowledge burns as bright as the sun above the Desert Clan, and a man whose loyalty is as unfaltering as the All-Mother Mountain herself. But it is in those in-between moments that the threads of deeper truths begin to seek the light.
The truth of deeper wounds, held closed by frayed thread that begins to come apart.

_____Shameless shipfic between Aloy and Kotallo. Begins in the ambiguous space between 'The Kulrut' and before 'Cradle of Echoes', and will feature sporadic moments as the game narrative continues through. Kotallo and Aloy's relationship develops over the course of the game and I fix the EGREGIOUS slight that he is not in the final fight.
Mostly Kotaloy dates, though. Because I desperately wanted them to spend more time together.

Summary

She arrives on the night of the blaze moon, a Tenakth ceremony that sweeps her up in it before she realizes it's happening. Suddenly suitors are seeking her out around every corner until she and Kotallo stumble into an...unorthodox solution.
That might cause more problems than it solves.

In sum: a self-indulgent post-Burning Shores story where Aloy goes after Kotallo in a fit of pique after finding his note about going to Meridian. Aloy and Kotallo are not together at the start of the fic, but you can bet your last shard they will be by the end. 🥰If you, like me, were devastated to find Kotallo gone from the Memorial Grove during the DLC, then this fic is for you. 😂😭💀
