Summary
Six months since the battle with HADES, Aloy and Neoma have been searching for the backup of GAIA in order to fix the terraforming system. In that short span of time, a Blight has begun to spread with the help of strange storms that seem to carry it. It kills everything and the machines are still changing despite HADES being gone, becoming more dangerous. In pursuit of the backup, Aloy and Neoma decide to travel to the Forbidden West, where they both learn to trust other people and how to obtain what they need in order to save the world from itself.
It's not all bad on their travels, as Aloy and Neoma learn what it is to be partners together. As they travel to the Forbidden West, things are discovered, and they are tested to the extreme on both their relationship and their allies.
Ride with them as they try to find the backup, fix the world, learn how to trust others and obtain allies, all the while their relationship grows into something more than they ever thought. It's time to go into the Forbidden West, the untamed wilderness of both machines and people.

Where we'll end up is mostly the same... but getting there is a different story than the one you know.This fic explores a canon divergence created by exploring the 'what if' plot-bunnies rattling around in my head, and how the story might have played out from there. Starting shortly after Beta is recovered from Ninmah and running to the end of the Horizon: Forbidden West storyline.
This will also likely act as the backdrop for any Post-Burning Shores/pre-NEMESIS work I may do in the future (see 'Windows into the Past' for the start of what that might look like!)
Adjusted to an overall M-rated presentation, as I tend not to shy away from realistic adult vocabulary and canon-typical violence portrayed realistically on the page.
Planned release is to split this fic into 3-4 ~5 chapter parts, with (ideally) weekly updates.

It started off a normal day for Elisabet Sobek, so how did she end up here? Where is here you ask? Well, it's a theatre, and she's not alone. No, she is with Her friends and colleagues (and Travis) and a group of people who already look weird and different, but there are two that are a bigger mystery than the rest, the two with her face. Liz has questions but the only way for answers is to watch the screen with the rest and see a world she could only imagine, as well as a threat that she wishes was a nightmare that she could wake up from.Or to put it simply, I decided to put the ALPHAs from the Zero Dawn project in a theatre with the GAIA gang and Sylens to watch Aloy's life over the two games. Also, the GAIA gang and Sylens were taken from right before GEMINI happened, and the ALPHAs are from several months to maybe a year prior to the faro plague (and I made it so they know each other already even though there is no evidence that they do in the lore).
