“Μητέρα!” Mydei screeched, running towards his room before Gorgo could catch up and further send his dignity down a drain. Thankfully she didn’t follow him and instead yelled out good luck! Sheesh, sometimes mothers are the worst.
He reached the door and gently knocked, wondering what he was going to say. Hey, I’m here and mother said you needed help. Or, are you over working again? What have I told you about taking care of your health? Or he could say nothing and observe his partner from the door and wait until Phainon notices him.
But after waiting for two minutes no one answered, so Mydei knocked again, this time a bit harder. “Phainon? You there?” Was he sleeping? Was he ok? The last time he didn’t answer…
‘No, no, stop overthinking! He’s a God now, he’ll be fine,’ Mydei harshly thought. And even if he wasn’t, he was a skilled warrior in his own right. He wielded Dawnmaker with confidence, slicing through his foes with terrifying precision and deadly accuracy. There had to be an explanation for this.
And as Mydei gently pushed open the door, he was right. And he simultaneously wished he wasn’t.
