Summary
Sergeant Tim Bradford has never been an animal person. So when a call about a “vicious” stray dog lands him face-to-face with Kojo, a scared pup nowhere else to go, the last thing he expects is to become the dog’s temporary foster. But after bubbly animal shelter worker Lucy Chen explains that Kojo will be euthanized if no one takes him in, Tim reluctantly agrees to keep the dog “for a few days.”
Lucy thinks Tim is grumpy, stubborn, and far too broody for his own good; though she quickly realizes there’s far more beneath his rough exterior than he lets people see.
