Summary
Cherry had developed a habit of staying aware whenever either Pico or Keith were out doing something and the other was still home with her. Aware of the way they would hold themselves, slinking off to a different room to try and ride it out with half-assed attempts to comfort themselves that barely ever worked. It was needless suffering that Cherry could only assume was burned into their brains because “men don’t cry”.
Well, fuck that. They could come to her completely hysterical with snot running down their faces and she’d choose that in a heartbeat over them feeling so obligated to suffer alone. Humans and their stupid obsession with standards so ridiculously backwards for the sake of a miserable order. Not in her house.
