Summary
When an alpha loses their mate, it is a race against the clock to stabilize their psyche before they go permanently mad. Most commit suicide. Some kill or commit rape. The only way of saving the alpha is to bond them with another, which sometimes is easier said than done.
The one good thing about Kakashi is, he will do anything to be unlike his father.
OR: Prequel to Leaving for War.

Summary
Kakashi returns from a mission to find his and Iruka's shared apartment empty. It wouldn't worry him if not for the late hour. He's too wired to do anything but sit and stare at the far wall.

Summary
Kakashi was a cursed being. Many vampires resented their bloodthirsty nature, especially the ones who believed in the tales of a vicious witch who stole the right to daylight from the first of their kind. Kakashi himself had never cared much, apart from when having to deal with the daily inconveniences of his undead body. Blood thirst could be fun, but troublesome, and the fact that he couldn’t walk out in daylight was most certainly a bummer.
The curse that bothered him was one he had acquired later in life.

Summary
In a Konoha where presenting as an omega means an automatic placement in one of the omega brothels operated by and for the shinobi elite, perhaps it's excusable to hide one's nature from the world at large. At least, that's what the ANBU Hound tells himself when he stumbles across a young omega about to experience his first heat.
Perhaps, if they're both very lucky, no one will ever have to know the truth, and life will proceed as normal.
But when was Kakashi ever that lucky?

Summary
All of Konoha’s citizens knew of her prophecy, one that predicted her future with alarming consistency. It had led her people well, through times of prosperity and the darkest of days, and would remain a guiding light for the murky future. It was an honour to be named within the most important record of Konoha's past, present and future, as one of the people significant to her survival.
Even if it named him only for his death.
Iruka returns to Kakashi for a much-needed respite.

Summary
It would be so easy to do it right now. Right this second. Just stab Katsuki and see how far he can run before someone takes him down. He could kill him right here, and this all could be over.
He won't. He can't.
But he has to.

Summary
“I suppose I chose you since it wouldn’t inconvenience you too much to move into the Hokage residence. It’s quite close to the Academy, as you know.”
“Of course,” Iruka says, nodding slowly. “That’s the best reason for any couple to get married, really. The convenience of their future housing arrangements.”
The Rokudaime is in need of a husband and Iruka is eminently available.

Bookmarker's Notes
Very nice and romantic slow build! Despite the pair getting married within the first few scenes of the story.
Delightfully old-fashioned writing style (I looooove it) and all around refreshing read.
