Noel Noa experiences many firsts with Ego Jinpachi: his first rival, the first person he visits the Eiffel Tower with, and the first person to call him a piece of shit to his face.
Coming face-to-face with Ego again, fourteen years later at the commencement of the Neo-Egoist League, helps Noa to realise that the word first is sometimes synonymous with the word irreplaceable.
