Summary
When Naruto gets eaten in the middle of the Forest of Death, he causes the snake to unsummon. This transports him to Ryuuchi Cave, where he gets the option to become a summoner. Because of this, Anko becomes his trainer for the month between the preliminary matches and the finals.

Summary
Ash's loss at the Pokemon League hits him harder than expected. Not because he lost, but because Charizard decided that his dreams were unimportant. Taking action, he releases Charizard and swiftly returns to Pallet Town to make sure that it never happens again. Charizard flees, realizing that he messed up, badly. He makes his way to an old friend, hoping that she can lead him back to a good relationship with Ash before it's too late.
(Ash birthday May 22, Sabrina Halloween, League starts April 1, League championship mid-February. So, at the start of the story, Ash is 15 and Sabrina is 17)
