Mother pressures him to wear his growing hair in braided crowns as his sisters do, as an omega should. It’s the proper thing to do, she says. Just as swordsmanship, horseriding, and hawking are not sports for an omega’s delicate nature. Neither is dragonriding, but it’s left unsaid.

Before Aemond left the room, Mother held Rhaenyra's arm and hand, softer than any touch she ever gave to her own children, caressed the scar she gave his sister the same night Aemond got his own, and asked her to stay. You've only just arrived.
People say that jealousy was the color green. But in Aemond's opinion, so was hypocrisy.
