“It’s not broken.” Buck grunts, avoiding Eddie’s eyes.
“You got a medical training I haven’t heard of?” Eddie replies immediately, raising one eyebrow in question. “You could’ve been seriously hurt, you know that?”
Buck shrugs, still not looking, “Whatever gets the team the win.”
Eddie frowns. He’s met a few players with this all or nothing mindset, but it normally ends up with doping scandals and some money going to places that it shouldn’t. It’s not a “skate across the ice ring to beat up the other goalie and get expelled from the game after getting his head smashed on the ice” type of thing. “That’s not worth it.”

“Would you like to go out for drinks with me?” When Dennis stares at him blankly he continues. “Like a date.”
Dennis continues to stare for a beat. “A date?”
“Yeah.”
“With me?”
“Yep.”
“No one else?”
Abbot squints. “Who else would I invite to a date, Whitiaker?”Look, Dennis has seen how Abbot eyes him, especially when he’s forced to flit around the ER in scrubs too small for him. So, it’s not the craziest thing that he has asked Dennis out. However, Dennis has also seen how Abbot looks at Michael Robinavitch.
