“Sherbettttt! I’m back!”
Cotton had walked into her best friends doorway, making her daily stop to check up on him. Sherbet could hear a faint stomping on the ground of Cotton shaking snow off her boots from where he lay in bed. “Cotton? Is that you?” Cotton then poked her head from around the corner. A bright smile on her face followed by her blue eyes meeting with Sherbets.
“Did I wake you up?” Cotton questioned, after noticing all the lanterns were off in Sherbets home. Apart from a fireplace in the corner of the room that was always on to provide some heat for Sherbet. “No, not at all.” Sherbet calmly smiled back, closing a brown hard cover book that lay in his lap. It was the one Cotton had previously gotten him a few weeks prior. “I was just reading that’s all.”

Stardust had ran. As fast as his legs could carry him.
He had a mental breakdown earlier, again. It was a common occurrence at this point for him. To get overwhelmed with emotions and have an existential crisis over his accidental existence. Even with the wizards journal Blueberry Pie had showed him, with the flower that Sugar Glass had left behind. Stardust still had that lingering feeling that his existence was meaningless every once in a while. A mere coincidence, something the wizards had no interest in loving like they did his sister.
