Louis looks back down at his journal, smiling, and realizes he’s accidentally spent the past twenty minutes writing and rewriting three simple words over the lines of the page. Three words laced with hope, with perseverance. And, as Harry yells for Louis, calls him a coward, begs him to return to the water immediately because he misses him, Louis knows nothing has ever mattered more.
