You probably don’t remember me from Truham but I’ve been basically in love with you since I was 14, so yeah, I’m happy to take care of your dog - and that’s not even a euphemism - but then afterward will you please make out with me for hours and then fall in love with me so we can do every naughty thing I’ve been trying not to think about doing with you for the past ten years?

Summary
Charles Spring is a highly regarded professor and fighter for LGTBQIA+ rights, the latter causing trouble for him on the regular. This time, though, the letters he receives are threatening enough that the police deems it necessary to assign two police constables for his protection until his big speech in one week, which everyone hopes will make a serious difference to a gender-related law in the making. PC Jones will accompany Charlie during the day, while he will spend his nights with PC Nelson in his flat. The whole anxious situation would be a lot easier, if the two men just got along.
