Summary
Maria Lucas fell in love with Rosings Park on her very first visit. The pretty gardens and beautiful buildings. Even her sister's cottage was cozy and exceedingly nice. So, when Charlotte, her sister, asked for her help in minding her two young nieces, Maria jumped at the opportunity to spend time at Rosings Park and visit with her sister.
The other residents of Rosings Park give Maria pause. Mr. Collins, her sister's husband, shows very little affection and fawns too heavily over anything Rosings Park. Lady Catherine de Bourgh, the owner of Rosings Park, is frightening and discouraging. Even Anne de Bourgh, the heiress and daughter of Lady Catherine, is aloof and quiet.
To Maria's surprise while she is there, she finds a collection of romantic poetry and writings hidden away in Rosings Park, all meant for her sister! And to make things even more perplexing, They seemed to have been penned by a woman! Maria soon finds the author and vows to help her and her sister reach each other. As time goes on, Maria soon finds herself regretting her promise and finds herself with feelings she didn't even know she had. Can Maria figure her own feelings out before it is too late?
