Ugh, just...End of season 2, I was very disappointed with the almost-throw-away scene between Dick and Gar. “I killed people, that sucked” “Nah dude, that one’s on me, I’m sorry.”
I know I’m such a girl about it, but I just wanted more mushy effusive hugging and crying.
So I just wrote it, I guess. Boys being mushy, here you go. -

Surely, Dick and Kory didn't just let a random kid they *maybe* remember seeing with Rachel once, just inexplicably tag along on a dangerous adventure? Weren't they even curious about the odd characters whose home they just barged into? This is the missing/alternate/extended scene that hopefully helps add Gar to the party without the awkward jump-cut. -

“Do you ever just feel like disappearing? Being away from all this… chaos?”
Kory tilted her head as she allowed his words to linger in her mind. Of course she could relate, all she wanted on Tamaran was to be away and free. This planet was her escape.
“Sometimes even the pressure of being a hero can become too much, but it’s what we do. We help people no matter the circumstance, no matter the weight of the burdens that we may carry. Never forget that.” He glanced at her as his body tensed up.
He then let out a frustrated sigh, “Even if we feel like we’re losing our mind? Seeing things that aren’t even there… or haven’t happened yet?”
Kory’s concern grew as she wondered what had transpired inside of the lab, “Gar, what’s going on?”
He pushed himself off the railing, taking a step back as he thought of a way to explain it where it would make sense.
Kory stood up straight, folding her arms as she watched him run a hand through his hair. He started to pace back and forth. His nail to his teeth as he thought of everything that had happened to him since they reached Metropolis.
Kory and Gar talk about their visions.

“Nightcrawler,” the ringmaster repeats after a full thirty seconds of this chanting. He sweeps his arms behind him, gesturing toward the entrance all of the performers had arrived from. A cage is wheeled into the circle, a spotlight following its path. Logan feels a bundle of nerves tighten in his stomach.
Logan squints. There’s a flicker of yellow among the dark mass.
And then there’s a flash, and the smell of sulfur.
The Nightcrawler lands atop its cage, head swiveling wildly. Logan’s stomach drops.
