But Aleksandar is still jaded. His past betrayals haunt him. Unable to fully trust and accept his love for Alina, and wanting be the person in control of his schemes, he makes a huge mistake with Alina. And now his mistrust has costed him everything. Will Alina forgive? Will Aleksander learn? Will they be able save their Grisha? End game Darklina(but a very long road to get there.).

    Connected by their tether, Aleksander has Alina by the neck against the wall and Baghra grabs his wrist to intervene. Except…the Making decides to intervene as well, before Baghra, the Darkling, and the Sun Summoner manage to royally mess up its plans any further.

    Alina is taken by the Making and sent back in time, to before the Fold. There, she meets a younger Aleksander and joins the group of Grisha he is protecting. Experiencing being hunted. Experiencing crushed hope and a King’s betrayal.

    The Making made a destined pair of dark and light for a reason. And it will be damned if it’ll let that be ruined due to the combination of ignorance, inexperience, stubbornness, fear, and miscommunication these two fools have.

    The first time Alina goes into the Fold and comes out as the Sun Summoner, she dies. The Druskelle succeed in ambushing the entourage and killing her on the way to the Little Palace. Then she wakes up in the barracks again, the morning of the crossing. There's Alexei on his cot, totally fine. No one is looking at her or for her... no one knows she is the Sun Summoner. She is free again.
    But she knows what's going to happen and she can't let her friends die. With one endless day that she can't escape, Alina's goals grow and grow, until she wants nothing less than to discover the Darkling's secrets, change the timeline, and save Ravka. All in a day's work.
