Summary
Borsalino never needed a reason to visit Sakazuki during working hours. He just appeared when he wanted and left when he felt like it. Honestly the two of them were often found together and the office was the most likely suspect. Though after today, Sakazuki is going to wish he had laid some ground rules to begin with as sometimes when Borsalino barges in, he interrupts Sakazuki in a way he can't always manage.

Sakazuki and Borsalino have only been a part of the marines for a few years by now and have quickly moved up the ranks. Word of potentially being promoted to vice admirals soon was heavy in the gossip trend for them both and they were both invited to a yearly Navy ball. Their closer relationship was still just between them but they decided that they would attend the ball together. Sakazuki was not known to dress in any sort of formal clothes and Borsalino was swept off his feet when he saw Sakazuki in a suit for the first time. This might be the first time Sakazuki breaks his early attendance streak, all because he decided to dress nicely in front of his smitten lover.

Sakazuki and Borsalino are in their early 20’s, some time before they decided to join the Marines. They are a pair of punks fighting for survival by any means necessary. Sakazuki’s temper is unmatched and he constantly fights with others around him. Borsalino is sassy and very cocky and seems to always find himself in trouble. He feels untouchable because his closest companion protects him from almost everything. Being together since childhood, they have found themselves getting closer and closer as they grow into young men.They have not yet come to realize their feelings, so they are just "bros" or so they think. They spend all their time together and honestly have been by each other's sides for so many years that some of their life is in sync. Neither had any experience in love, yet alone being in love with their best friend. They're not sure when they suddenly started to see each other in such a different light but one day their gaze lingered longer, and a touch caused butterflies. One day they both knew they wanted more than just to exist together and it was only a matter of time before the silence was broken.

Sakazuki, Borsalino, and Kuzan stumbles their way after a night of celebration after being promoted to vice admirals. After tripping, Kuzan runs off to get some ice and Sakazuki and Borsalino talk.
“We can always meet up for more dinner…and lunch too.” He coughed, “Maybe without Kuzan?”
Borsalino looked at him, a teasing smile on his face, “Like a date?”

Summary
Borsalino found a small clearing where fireflies gathered at night. When he took Sakazuki to see them, the insects were nowhere to be found.
“I think it looks fine.”
“No, this place looked perfect when I found it. I checked yesterday and there were hundreds of fireflies. It was beautiful. I wanted to surprise you with it for today.” Borsalino replied, his shoulders slumping in defeat.
“You’re here, aren’t you?” The words tumbled out his mouth before he could hold them back.
“Yes, I am.” Borsalino said contemplatively. “I am!” The disappointment turned into excitement and Sakazuki raised his head just in time to see Borsalino raise his hand and the edges of his frame turning hazy as yellow light scattered from his form. As he solidified again, Sakazuki marveled at the tiny yellow dots surrounding them.
“Beautiful.” He breathed out, his eyes locked on Borsalino’s smiling face. “This is better than fireflies.”
