Summary
“What do you want, Louis?” Lestat cuts in, narrowing his eyes salaciously. “Do you want me to beg for it?”
Louis’s lawyer opens his mouth, but Louis cuts him off, looking straight at Lestat.
“I have a string of new businesses,” Louis says, shrugging one shoulder, like all of this is casual. “Appealing to a specific type of clientele.”
Lestat’s top lip curls. “You want me to promote your clubs.”
“I do.”
He sighs. “I can make an Instagram tweet.”

Lestat has refused to speak to Louis since the book came out. Suddenly, in the middle of his rock tour, his account with Roget is drained. Louis has an interesting way for Lestat to get his money back.

Summary
Louis de Pointe du Lac teaches art and literature, values quiet routines, and would very much like his life to remain as unremarkable as he’s made it. Unfortunately, between meddling colleagues, dramatic students, and one infuriatingly persistent Lestat de Lioncourt, normalcy doesn’t stand a chance.

Summary
He lets her do it. He allows it. And the very thought is intertwined with the bitterness that characterizes all its peers. Claudia still lives imprisoned in the same garden of thorns and gates where Louis planted her stolen fruit. Claudia lives trapped in the prison of shame that Louis has built around himself, in the foolish presumption of being protected.
He is the one who eats that boy in the end. He does it in a dark alley off Boulevard de Strasburg, after inviting Claudia to chase a particularly large dog that was happily following the lively crowd of people. He does it violently and without any regard for his young age, and in doing so steals his only joyful memory. The very image of his daughter, her ruby eyes shining in the beauty of the night, her smile so dazzling that it lifts him out of the catatonic noise of the bombs echoing insistently in the back of his mind. He does not dispose of his body, he does not commemorate him, he does not pay his respects. He simply kneels at the end of the lane, where he hopes not to be seen, his hands clasped and raised to the sky in silent prayer.
“Forgive me,” he begs a god who does not listen, “Forgive me, forgive me, my lord—I did not want to be like this.”Bookmarked by ConcernedReader

Summary
Lestat stumbles through a haze in which nothing is clear but ghosts. The drugs banish them, usually, but it isn't a perfect science—on an unlucky night, what yesterday swept them away resummons them tenfold.
Tonight is an unlucky night.
