A gradient of dark blue and pink is washed over the stage, deepening the shadows on his face. His hair is fucking perfect. Not a single flyaway or split end in sight. Lark wants to hate him but can’t quite bring himself to it.
“You know,” the man drawls into his microphone, “a little ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ can go a long way.” He pauses for effect. “It might even make you likable.”
Okay, maybe Lark can in fact bring himself to hate him.

The punk scene in all likelihood saved Lark's life; for a while, he was miserable in all the right ways. But reading Kropotkin and doing drugs never actually fixed anything. The only fulfilling part of his life is his job as a sound tech at a local club.
Sadly, sometimes that means he has to deal with asshole musicians who think they're hot shit.

Summary
Swept from his human life to responsibility in Hell, Nick is signed up to marry a fairy prince to help secure an alliance. Only, that fairy prince turns out to be TWO princes, and they can't go back on their word now- all he can do is try to make the best of the situation, swapping out his spouse every six months and hoping they all get used to it before too long.

“So what you have told me is you live alone in a rented studio, with no permanent income, no social support network and that you were out of Taylor’s life for nearly 3 years while you were ‘finding yourself’. You have never paid child support even though he lives with his mother, who is in permanent work with a long term partner in a home she owns outright. We haven’t even looked at any criminal history or drug use- I know it’s legal now, but have you ever done it around Taylor? That’s what I thought. If I was a family lawyer- and I definitely am not- I would want to be paid upfront, because this would be over very quickly.”
Nick's life was not going exactly to plan, despite his "best" efforts. When his ex-wife Cassandra gets in to a new relationship, she throws another spanner in to works already pretty full of spanners.
Out of other ideas and other options, Nick is forced to consider an offer from some old friends he would rather not have spoken to at all. In order to maintain his family, he's going to have to move past some old grudges and let some people in.
