And because he had well and truly pissed her off, because of his previous comment about her reading habits, because she knew it would get a reaction out of him, because she damn well could, Nesta answered him.
"I was thinking about getting fucked by Azriel."
From down the table, the Shadowsinger choked on his wine, alarm and something else gracing his features.
She smirked at Cassian, but it faded as she took in his heated expression. The fire in his eyes, the lazy smile on his lips.
"You want to get fucked by Azriel, Nes? Have you thought about him, late at night, imagined his fingers in place of your own as you bring yourself to the edge?"
Nesta glanced again towards Azriel, worried about how he would react to Cassian's insinuations. But the Spymaster of the Night Court just looked curious. As if he too wondered about the answer to the question Cassian had posed.
