  Summary

  It has been 37 years since the Great Storm. The Steward, elected by the late Captain, has done an... okay job running New London. With no common goal to survive, politics is the norm, with squabbling delegates forgetting their fellow man is the reason mother nature hasn't claimed their wayward souls yet.

  Enter two citizens of New London, living in a housing district shielded from the weather right next to the central district. They even have an Actuated Heat Dispatcher! Quite luxurious indeed. Lou Fairchild, a 27-year old Engineer, struggles to find political alignment, while his wife, Myrtle Fairchild, a 25-year old Faithkeeper tries to turn the other cheek to some of his egotistical and workaholic ways.

  It is 1924, and for the first time in almost four decades the main fuel source for the generator will not be coal, but OIL! Via an old dreadnought, the black gold flows towards the 10,000 headstrong city.

  How will Lou and Myrtle make their way as but 2 a couple? Will they be a mere statistic in the history books, or will there be no history books but the carcass of steel veins spread out through the frost?
