Comedy with a lot of heart. Felt like reading scenes from the anime, which is incredible. Maybe the most in-character fic of these two. I was able to picture it all so clearly.

Recruited to assist with Bulma's colonization project, Goku and Vegeta find themselves alone in the glacial ice fields of Europa, with the bond of their fusion still lingering undiscussed in the frozen air. Vegeta refuses to talk about it, and Goku refuses to let it go.
When the project goes awry and the science is miscalculated, they are forced to reckon with a new fact: They may have unfused, but in the end, they may never have been torn apart at all.

If I had a nickel for every time I stumbled across an immaculate cosmic horror fic that could stand alone as its own novel but also elevates its source material and truly makes me believe Goku and Vegeta are soulmates and brilliantly incorporates the concept of their fusion as a key element of the romance...
I'd have two nickels. A brilliant companion to "Contamination" except with the roles reversed. More of this, please.

Could be a standalone novel, but also perfectly fits in the Dragon Ball universe. Perfectly in-character and totally believable.
Even with the way the Goku/Kakarot name duality takes on a whole new meaning.
