    Summary

V1 accidentally triggers a teleportation safelock and gets itself stuck between Heaven and Hell, on the most radioactive place on Earth.

    EXCERPT.
Scrambling back onto its feet, V1 pointed its shotgun at the body, then changed to its revolver for efficiency. It was Gabriel, face-first in the dirt and looking less lively than the swordsmachine. The silver plate that curved up to protect his neck now lightly dug into the tough skin at the nape. His lower back remained mockingly exposed, ridden with tiny bullet holes that never seemed to do enough damage. Considering he was still alive.

    Summary

A goofy concept turned 5,000 word story, most characters will die.

    Excerpt.
The footsteps stopped outside, and my head started thrumming, the pain there registering as well. Warm, wet liquid trickled down my face. Another injury. But it was seeping blood at a mercifully slow rate. I struggled back to my feet, standing at the edge of the pit that led to the next layer. I hesitated. But there was nowhere else to go now.
I teetered just merely over the edge, staring down. At the black hole, the darkness taunting me like a sick bleeding angel begging for it's sweet release.. that made more than my blood boil. The slick wet gathered beneath my chin and trickled off, dripping onto my armored hand, met with a tiny “Tip! Tip! Tip!” as it land. One final swallow and an inhale of air.. and what I hoped was peace, I stepped forward.

    Summary

    > [E-RATED FOR DETAILED GORE]
Speculative ultraviolent ending for ACT III.

    EXCERPT.
V1 picked up the skull and began walking. The halls were dark, lined with chain-strewn doors like in the machine's previous mission, but there weren't any sobs anymore, just the occasional sound of a slight shift here and there. Maybe the souls had been calmed by the music, or they'd simply been down here so long their souls had become too exhausted to cry. There were no windows in the hallway, neither was there any other light source, just the eerie blue glow of the skull in V1's left hand, the only sound being the soft music and V1's padded footsteps.
