Summary
The Storm began after Team Aqua succeeded in their plans to awaken an ancient being, a primal power of the ocean. At first no one knew what was happening, but as things continued and got worse the panic began. Years passed, and the world flooded. For forty years the Storm raged, and there was nothing anyone could do except hold on. And then as suddenly as it had started the Storm stopped, with no one the wiser on how or why.
Sixty years later and our story finds its home with Dusk, a girl whose penchant for exploration and helping humans and Pokemon alike has left her with a longing and desire to travel the remains of the world. To search for lost pieces of history, to help those in need, and maybe even find out what happened all those years before her birth. Prone to traveling off the beaten path, and to getting lost in her own thoughts, some know her only as Lost. But that's something she's never been.
With the desire overflowing within her, Dusk sets off looking to do whatever she can even if she doesn't know where to start. But what's that matter, so long as she gets to sail the sea and chase her dream? There's always those in need to be found, after all.

Summary
Astrid Berklow has problems, not least of which are a demanding father, an asshole brother, and the facts of life in Brockton fucking Bay. Triggering very publicly solves precisely none of these, but it does give her the opportunity to try to chart her own future, even as the baggage of her past still weighs her down.
Mixed Feelings is a tale of abuse recovery, identity and superpowers, focusing on an original character in the Worm setting. This is a character-driven story exploring the Wards of Brockton Bay, the ordinary men and women working for the Parahuman Response Teams and the human cost of living in a town where the balance of force is tilted solidly towards the gangs. It begins a few months pre-canon and will end around canon start. Scion is Sir-Not-Appearing-In-This-Story.
