Summary
Robespierre looks around at his colleagues. He pushes his spectacles up his forehead and rubs his eyes. He's more tired than anyone should possibly be after spending so much time at home in bed, and he'd like to think he's misheard — misunderstood, misinterpreted — what's been said. But he knows he hasn't.
They're trying to get rid of him!
Year II is heating up. The Committees and the Convention are rife with dissent. And some people are starting to turn their ire on one of the most prominent faces of the Revolution. Instead of killing everybody, they decide to just take care of Robespierre.
And by take care of, I mean…
See that he has someone at home who'll make sure he eats well, gets enough rest and some gentle exercise, takes a proper break from work, and really recovers from the stress of politics.
Incidentally, Camille is hosting a young man from Blérancourt, who's been stymied in his efforts to get elected and is eager to help the Revolution however he can…

Summary
I am maniacally craving your life…
But her life is already his.
What can he possibly crave?
He's been refused nothing!
Not from her!
Eléonore clings to his hand — so afraid to let go, she feels almost childish. But why should it be childishness to fear being lost? To fear separation from the one who gives life meaning? It's only human! It's the bare minimum of feeling for another who is already a part of oneself, to whom one has already surrendered!
Four days.
Four days!
Maxime will not be better in four days.
Eléonore helps Maxime relax after he's been sick for a while.Deleted scene from The Danton Case, but you really don't have to have read it. It's just Eléonore and Max having some fun.

Summary
"How f-far we've come from the days of '89 — when I was threatened with hanging and caning!"
"Don't jest, Camille!" Robespierre shakes his head in annoyance; he pushes his glasses up his forehead as though he can't even bear to look at his friend. "Sometimes I really think you ought to be!"
Camille stares — for a moment, shocked entirely past words.
Maxime looks a bit shocked, too, as though his violent pronouncement had just slipped out, traitorously revealing the inmost thoughts he usually kept carefully guarded. "I don't mean hanged!"
"Ah, mhmm… you just think I ought to be caned."
"I only mean that you would deserve it!"
Camille looks at his exhausted friend. They are all exhausted. All frayed past the breaking point. But the Revolution must continue, and so they must continue. They've all given themselves to it so thoroughly that they cannot let themselves break. Or rather, breaking does no good. It doesn't take them out of the relentless battle for the Republic, doesn't provide even a moment's reprieve...
The awkward moment when your argument outside the Jacobin Club gets WAY out of hand. And then Saint-Just shows up.

Summary
"The Committee would like to heal the rift between me and Saint-Just," Camille says in a rush.
Lucile gapes at Camille.
Oh, what is happening! She thinks — perhaps — that she has finally gotten all the pieces of information. But oh! If only they would make sense!
"Citoyen Saint-Just?" she echoes. "He who walks like the cornerstone of the Republic, and carries his head like the Blessed Sacrament?"
"You remember!"
"But he is… You don't get along!"
"Yes, that's quite the point. Oh—" Camille is suddenly supporting her, steering her toward the chaise longue. "Hmm… I think you'd better sit down."
You see, the whole Marriage Alliances thing did sometimes work, and the revolutionary government is prepared to try anything...
A standalone story in the The Revolutionaries Think Political Marriages Might Be Their Way Out of Deadly Factionalism series because I literally cannot stop.

Summary
"Relax, citoyen—"
Antoine whirls on him. "The Republic is in peril, and you say relax?"
Camille holds his eyes steadily. He is used to his stormy husband. He feels no fear, only concern for the growing strain Antoine is facing. Truly, he does not want to add to his husband's troubles! He only wishes to alleviate them.
But everything he's said — or written — has only caused more damage.
He steps closer.
The tired, grey eyes remain stormy, but Camille can sense the reflexive shift in Antoine's breathing. Antoine's tongue darts out minutely, wetting his lips; one hand comes up to tug at his cravat, and Camille is certain that the pulse beating in his throat — the wild, vivacious pulse he's seen beating hard in his husband's neck when they're at home and safe and uncovered — is quickening.
Technically a sequel, but I think you can read this without its predecessor. Basically, Camille & Saint-Just got married for ~Politics~. You know, to cement alliances and heal rifts. Because of how well that had worked in the past. They are still working out some Differences Of Opinion.

Summary
"And yet how terrible it must be not to feel anything? Not the odd sweetness of smell possessed by the orange peel before revealing its sweet fruit, the numbing coldness of winter and warmth of hands, the joy of one day seeing thin gray hair on his love's temples."
In short- Robespierre has a dream in between the 9th and 10th of Thermidor.

How the Revolution might have been resolved via an afternoon of fucking Maximilien Robespierre literally senseless. How ABO dynamic might have changed the relationships of some of the major figures circa 1790-1791. Totally not an excuse to write eight thousand words of group sex.

Summary
*NSFW
Louis Antoine Saint-Just is not attracted to Maximilien Robespierre. He isn’t, he just admires him greatly. He might also have a fixation on the man’s calves, but who wouldn’t? He might also very secretly, want to push Maxime down on to the table and tear his clothing apart with his teeth and fuck him till he can’t walk.
See? It’s all very fraternal.
