He had a lot of predictions about how his father would react if he ever learnt about the gender he had been assigned to at birth. One of them had been being married off for the interests of the sect, he wasn't fooling himself, he knew how it was for anyone able to carry children in this world, even in the most progressive sects. However the possibility of his pregnancy being used to force an engagement never had been on the table. The possibility of his father telling him to “seduce” Nie Mingjue and make him believe the child was his even less.

Anders hadn’t slept peacefully for three days now. Fidgeting, he rolled in his bed made of piled furs. Waiting for any suspicious sound eyes wide open. And suddenly his barred door shook slightly. A muffled curse followed. In an instant he was on his feet, eagerly walking to the door yet readying a spell in his palm. Looking in the small peekhole carved in the wood, he felt a small smile spread on his face. Slowly he opened the door to a really surprised and uneasy elf. Before he could speak or be spotted by anyone keeping watch on this night, Anders dragged him inside.
“Come in, quick !” He whispered, ignoring the panicked look on his soon-to-be kidnapper’s face.

Hell, he barely even noticed the front had been repainted in a soft apple green. Now that he looked again, through their store window, he could see the little yet bright signboard with ‘flower shop’ written on it. He must have been pretty tired these last times if he passed beside it without sparing it a glance. However the boy Abel held hand with was, he couldn’t even dare to think something this cheesy, a sight for sore eyes.
