On the desk, next to the ash-filled saucer, the packet of cigarettes waits. The plastic wrapper is crushed at the bottom end, catching the light, but she doesn’t smoke anymore.
Not unless she’s with him.
Post-canon slow burn.

Both Kim and Jimmy here act as if they would in real life, and I appreciate that level of plausibility a lot.
I especially love the portrayal of Jimmy as a fragile, deeply wounded man who carries the burden of his previous decisions.

Summary
Severus Snape has his emotions in check. He knows that he experiences anger and self-loathing and a bitter yearning, and that he rarely deviates from that spectrum… Until the first-year Luna Lovegood arrives to his class wearing a wreath of baby’s breath. Over the next six years, an odd friendship grows between the two, and Snape is not sure how he feels about any of it.

Bookmarker's Notes
I love the way Snape is portrayed in this story as a deeply vulnerable, desperately lonely man, craving for nothing but a shred of understanding. Thankfully, he gets what he needs.
Besides, I feel like it is incredibly demanding to write about Luna Lovegood and create a plausible image of her in a reader’s mind, yet the author was capable of nailing this task perfectly. I have to admit that I burst into tears while reading the final scene — it somehow turned out to be both heartbreaking and soothing at the same time.

The setting moon is but a shard in the sky, and it looks sharp and deadly. She wants to pluck it from its place in the heavens and run him through with it for making her feel like this.
For making her yearn.

This story is a stupendously beautiful piece of art. I love the way Hermione behaves here — her mind is drained, and her fatigue is almost palpable. Tom’s attitude feels realistic, too.
I wish I had read it slower to fully comprehend each sentence and wolf down every single word. -

NOW COMPLETE
What's more difficult than dealing with one Severus Snape? Dealing with two of them.
After Hermione mysteriously stumbles across a teenage Severus Snape in the Room of Requirement, she finds herself seeking out the companionship of the troubled young man more and more.
Meanwhile, the very adult Professor Snape finds himself in far closer quarters than he would like with a girl he tried to forget about long ago.
A story about love, fate, and two people who just can't manage to escape either.

Bookmarker's Notes
I’m genuinely torn apart by this story. Rarely have I encountered such an eloquent and well-written storyline paired with exceptionally compelling love dynamics between Hermione and Severus.
It might linger in the back of my mind for months, if not for years.

Summary
Ever since the events of his fourth year, Harry Potter has been drowning. He’d already been struggling for years, and a mixture of fresh trauma, mounting pressure, and disturbing nightmares is pushing him closer and closer to the edge.
His friends see him falling apart more and more, but they’re powerless to help him. The adults in his life are willing to turn a blind eye to his ever-increasing issues, so long as they’re able to maintain their idea of a savior and keep their plans in place. When Harry Potter arrived at Hogwarts, Severus Snape's life became exponentially harder as he tried to field threats against a boy he didn’t even like and take up spy work again at the same time. With the return of the Dark Lord, Severus also suddenly had to work to protect his godson from the threat looming over them; if Draco fell into the Dark Lord’s hands like his father, he would never escape.
Severus is content to allow the obvious problems rising in Potter to be addressed by the boy’s other teachers, and the people who cared for him. However, as more issues arose and intensified, one thing became obvious: Severus may be the only person with both the power to help Potter, and the will to do so.- Language:

Bookmarker's Notes
The story is written brilliantly — I couldn’t help but dive deeply into each word. From my perspective, it’s perfectly accurate in terms of depicting Harry’s cocktail of tremendously gloomy feelings, such as loneliness, alienation, and self-hatred.
Also, note should be taken that Draco here is charming.
