Summary
“Hollander, what are you doing at my house?”
“It’s an apartment.” Shane replied abruptly, causing Ilya to raise an eyebrow in amusement. “I mean, uh, I’m sorry, do you live here?”
“Yes. I just moved in. Why?”
Shane shifted nervously on his feet, “I own it. The apartment, I mean.”
Ilya grinned. “Ah, I see. What brings you to my door, Mr. Landlord?”
OR
Shane and Ilya were never more than heated rivals in the NHL. In 2017, Ilya suffered a career-ending injury, and two years later, he moved to Montreal for a coaching job. He unknowingly rents out Shane’s apartment, and the heat of their former rivalry transforms into love as they discover new parts of each other.

Summary
Shane remembered how he'd heard the front door close, then open a few minutes later. He'd thought Ilya had forgotten something. He hadn't thought much about it until he heard heavy footsteps climbing the stairs to their bedroom. It didn't sound like Ilya, who always took two steps at a time, even though Shane always told him not to. It didn't even sound like one person.
Or:
Shane gets attacked in his and Ilyas house. Ilya finds him.
Healing will be a long journey. (the horror persists, but so does Shane Hollander)Bookmarked by Crussell44

Summary
When he releases his grip on Shane’s chin, drags his knuckles along Shane’s jaw, Shane follows the touch, chasing Ilya’s fingers with his mouth.
Fuck. He is so fucking transparent. So clearly fucking vulnerable. A careless move could break him, and Ilya is not the sort of person who can be trusted with fragile things. People don’t trust him with much at all.
[Or: five times Shane doesn't use a safeword, and one time Ilya does.]
