sandrone guillotin is even worse at admitting that maybe, possibly, she does not actually want no strings attached either.
six months of almost, of hands reaching and pulling back, of closed doors and warm mornings and kisses that say everything neither of them has figured out how to say out loud yet, and of columbina looking at her like she hung something and sandrone looking away before she has to decide what to do about it.
the deal made sense and it was clean. the deal did not account for tuna sandwiches remembered without asking, or 1x1 photos kept in ID holders, or being walked to practice like a pretty princess by someone with embarrassingly red ears.

If Kafka gets this role, Himeko will have to stand across from her every single day and pretend that the last five years did not leave a strange little bruise somewhere beneath her ribs.

Summary
Mydei has nothing better to do, so he’s mindlessly scrolling through his social media feed when he stumbles on a strange video. It’s just a bunch of guys playing sports, but with an odd caption plastered over it: “POV: when bro says he’s hungry so I stuff him”.
Confused by the text, Mydei checks out the comments for an explanation. Instead, more scenarios with “bro” pop up, some of them disturbingly descriptive and detailed. He belatedly realises that the “stuff” in the POV was not what he thought it was.
And then— his brain betrays him. An image flickers in his mind, uninvited and way too vivid:
Phainon, flushed and breathless, arms locked around Mydei’s shoulders, legs tight around his waist. Shivering, whimpering his name in that broken, aching voice that Mydei had never heard, but could suddenly imagine all too clearly.
“Wha…”
To his horror, Mydei realises that something in his pants is starting to rise.
Now Mydei is shocked, flustered and desperately questioning everything, especially why he suddenly can’t stop thinking about Phainon that way.
He doesn’t think he can look him in the eye after this.

Summary
Phainon’s streaming again at the Marmoreal Market about his antique appraisal. As usual, Mydei listens in as he reads through the comments for any weirdos, reporting all the disrespectful ones.
Then, a comment suddenly flashes by: “mydei straight af i would’ve asked for a thigh job if phainon was my sparring partner”
It stops Mydei in his tracks. What the fuck does that even mean?
The commenter continues: “i mean mydei spends so much time with him but is too much of a wimp to do anything. if i were him i would have jumped phainon by now and shown him a real calamity”
That’s it.
He presses the report button without hesitation and sets his teleslate down a little harsher than necessary. The strange people Phainon attracts sometimes… Mydei feels bad for him. No one should have to deal with this kind of garbage just for being… himself.
Before he even realises it, his body is moving on its own. He leaves his room and starts heading towards the market.
What awaits him afterwards is something he doesn’t expect.

The man in question, who was chopping some carrots, turns to face Phainon. “What is it?”
“Isn’t it a little unfair how Hyacine got to see Castorice’s writing first?” Phainon wonders aloud. “Even though we were the ones who encouraged her and let her use our names in her stories.”
Mydei scoffs, turning back to chop the onions this time. “She doesn’t need to show you everything.”
“I know, but,” Phainon sighs. “Aren’t we besties? I just want to know more about her interests. If she just wants to know if what she’s writing is realistic, then maybe all we need to do is act out the scene and give her feedback afterwards. She surely won’t refuse since it’s about us, right?”
Mydei drops his knife with a clang. He slowly turns to face him again. “Do you even remember what she writes about?”
Phainon looks at him like he’s stupid. “Yeah? Of course I do.”
“Are you insane?”
“Nope.”
“So you’re saying,” Mydei forces the words out through gritted teeth, “that you want us to fuck and then tell her about it?”
“I’m saying,” Phainon replies. “Yeah, you’re right.”

Summary
Phainon pesters Mydei to do a “training exchange” with him. Mydei reluctantly agrees, only to find himself lying on the ground with Phainon leaning over him.
“You know,” Phainon says casually, “back when I used to train with the other Okheman guards, I’d do this with them all the time.”
Mydei narrows his eyes. “With the other guards?”
“Yeah,” Phainon replies. “They’d always help me check my form and give me advice.”
For some reason, he steps over Mydei’s body, placing his feet just above either side of his hips. “They’d lie down over here, like you, just to make sure I was doing it right.”
Mydei’s eyes widen. “What do you—”
And then Phainon bends his knees and lowers himself, all the way down. He stops right above Mydei’s groin, and it’s close, so close that the heat from his body is almost palpable, but still out of reach.
“With them under me, watching… I’d move up, and down, up, and down…”
He shifts his hips as he says it, moving in slow, deliberate rolls.
Then, leaning in just a little, he drops his voice to a low whisper, knowing Mydei can hear every word. “And I’d say thank you when I came down on them… every single time.”

Jahoda sneered, hands digging into her pockets, or what was left of them. "That's such a stupid reason."
What would you do if you don't have enough time to live? According to Ineffa, the worse thing you could do is die earlier than you should. As if that's not already a no-brainer. Seriously, are Automatons really as highly advanced as people say they are? Opposite of that opinion, Jahoda believes that there's nothing left to do when you're fated to just go poof! and vanish like you were never important. It's better to cut the line and fall off the edge rather then let the tomorrow fade in.
But Ineffa's not gonna let that slide.
She has to fix all the times they were wrong, or die trying.
Maybe both.
