“Tell me you don’t love me,” Katsuki insisted. “Look me in the eye and tell me that you don’t. You only need to say it, Izuku, just once and I’ll let this all go. I’ll never look at you again. I’ll never find you again. I’ll let go of anything that reminds me of you, if you let me.” The alpha heaved, almost crushing Izuku’s palm in his grip. “Tell me you don’t want me.”
Izuku flinched as a cold hand made its way up his face, brushing across his cheek where a scar laid. The alpha drew his hand back and it shone under the bright sun, glinting.
When did he start crying?
When the chosen omega of the season and her guard falls ill, Toshinori tasks Izuku to retrieve the Scilla, a flower that only blooms on the eve of the winter solstice. It is a vital item that unmated alphas and omegas need for The Hunt and with the pair down, there is no one else who can do it. No one else except Izuku and Katsuki.
Izuku doesn't want to do it, and tells the elder so, but when he realizes that it's the biggest season their village has had in decades he has to make a decision—to stop running, once for all, and face the alpha who he has rejected long ago.

“Oi, nerd. What’re you doing next week?” Katsuki asks, no preamble.
“Uh.” Izuku blinks wide eyes up at him. “Hi, Kacchan. What am I – wait, what? When?”
“Next week,” Katsuki repeats, and oddly, Izuku seems to go pink across the bridge of his nose. “Over break? You got plans or what?”
“I mean. Not really? I guess I’ll probably just be at home. If you…” He pauses, swallowing, then plows on determinedly, “If you want to come over or anything. I know you haven’t really been to my place in years, but – well, you know. If you’re bored.”
“So you’re free,” Katsuki confirms.
Izuku squints at him. “Yes…?”
“Okay.” Katsuki falls silent, trying to work out a not-stupid way to ask, and then decides that asking at all is actually the stupid part. Why let him say no? “Come skiing with me,” he demands.
Featuring snowy hills and private hot springs, a little healing, lots of talking, nosy parents, and Katsuki & Izuku remembering what it's like to be friends.

The nerd blinked at Katsuki again, and why was that wide eyed face making his chest hurt. It was pissing him off. The other man finally broke the staring when he shivered again, shuffling to get comfortable before settling in to stare at the fire.
“Thanks for worrying about me, Kacchan.”
He scoffed. “One of us needs to make sure we make it back in one piece.”
Izuku chuckled. “I guess.” His voice grew softer. “Still, I’m glad it was you.”
Or;
Katsuki and Izuku get stuck in a cave when a blizzard stops them from making it back to the village. While taking care of Izuku, Katsuki realizes some things.
