"Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice"
Nova Heart, lived her life in fight our flight when the end of the world finally came there was no real difference, you know besides the living dead running around. She never truly had a family to depend on until coming to Abel Township.
Sam Yao believed he wouldn't be able to love again until a stranger falling out of a chopper showed up. Both very lost soul's come to depend on each other through each other's flaws.This is mainly canon to the story on the Zombies run app of course little side stories to make the character a little more mine. Multi Pov. This is part one of a hopefully series.

Summary
Five is a librarian at Abel Primary School. It looks like it's going to be another ho-hum boring day when .... what's this? There's a new Year One teacher! His name is Sam Yao and he gets Five all kinds of flustered.
Characters MOSTLY from S1, but there are a few guest appearances from later season characters. Minor spoilers for late S4/S5 villain.
Look, this is dumb. Lol. And self indulgent as it is based on MANY events in my own life. Except, I work for an American elementary school and have very little knowledge of school systems in England, save for what I learned in Matilda. For those purposes, Abel Primary is a private school that plays by its own rules.
This is an alternate universe and an opportunity to test how well I know these characters. Can I translate their voices to a whole new setting? We're gonna find out.
I have 3 or 4 more chapters planned but not written. This is truly just a lighthearted summer project to keep me writing.

A montage of moments I wanted to write for my 5 and Sam :)
5 has crash landed in the middle of the south west country side, and finds she infact doesn't know herself and the apocalypse all that well. Sam has emotionally crash landed and is also stuck with the crushing realization that he doesn't know who he is. Both may struggle. A lot. But first they got to get over the fact they're both British and therefor do not feel emotions. /j eventually, they will find, that in the mess of Grief comes light. And when there is light, new relationships will blossom.

Summary
Okay, so maybe immediately post mind-control wasn't the best time for Sam to confess his undying love for Runner Five. And maybe it made her sprint for the hills as if she was being chased by, well, a horde of zombies. But he can fix this. Right?
And what did happen to her while under Moonchild's control that made her run at the words 'I love you?'

Summary
Alice is dead, but her voice is living in Sam’s head. Meanwhile, the new Runner Five is very much alive and doesn’t talk to him at all. Alice’s voice is too quiet and New Five’s silence is too loud. Everything’s wrong.
Set between mission 1 and 2 (during the 5k missions.) No spoilers past mission 2. Sam/Alice, can be read as pre-5am or friendship, depending on your preference. Female Runner 5.
