Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

The thing is, Art hadn't expected him to answer. After all, it's been months since they've last spoken. It's the longest they've ever gone without each other. And Patrick is saying his name and it's pathetic how good it feels to hear it again after so long of going without.
Art's at Stanford. He's in bed with a hand around his dick. He's drunk, alone and miserable.
And then he calls Patrick.

Summary
Growing up, Patrick never really understood why people always claimed to hate hospitals so much.
To be fair, he’s never actually had to spend time in one, so he hasn’t given it much thought, he supposes. It just seems like a common theme, a hatred shared amongst characters on TV and in movies, one that the masses can easily relate to. It never occurred to him to consider why.
Now, sitting on a hard wooden chair in a hospital waiting room, he thinks he understands.
