And… well. More than he was ever an artist, or a lawyer, or a poker player, or a pianist - Phoenix Wright is a father. He can’t let Apollo suffer any more than he has, not if he has anything to do with it.

Apollo is over by the filing cabinet when it happens: his eyes practically roll back into his head, his hand slips from the half-opened drawer, his knees buckle and he falls to the floor.
The kid is going to be the death of him. From courthouse bombings to head injuries to passing out in the office, Phoenix absolutely cannot keep up with all the strain Apollo keeps putting on his heart. What was it the doctors told him after his car crash? Take it easy? Yeah, right.
or: apollo gets sick at the office. phoenix takes care of him.

Which- it's fine if it is, but just know you probably shouldn’t be sleeping with your phone in your bed, since it might explode. And don’t think I’m just teasing you, because I know you don’t know Larry but there was one time in college when-”
He stops immediately when Apollo interrupts him, and almost drops his phone in shock. “I got hit by a car."

The following is a short and non-exhaustive list of things Phoenix is expecting to happen during his visit with Kristoph Gavin in solitary confinement: thinly veiled insults concealed underneath a perfect smile; a near-lethal amount of passive aggression; an extension on the previous seven years of psychological mind games; and last but not least, another pitiful and fruitless attempt at breaking his black Psyche-Locks.
What he’s not expecting - and could probably have never predicted - is for Apollo Justice to already be sitting in the chair opposite him.
“My, my,” Kristoph murmurs, glancing between the two of them with a calculated, icy-eyed stare. “How interesting.”
