Summary
As the God of Freedom, Venti knows that there are different types of freedom. There is the freedom to go wherever you want, the freedom to live the life of your choice, and the freedom to express yourself. There is also, paradoxically, freedom in chains.
Love and trust are one such chains. When you have someone you can trust completely, there is something freeing in giving them control; safe with the knowledge that they’ll never harm you. Venti has never experienced such freedom, but he wants to.
And so, Venti goes to his fellow immortal friend, Zhongli, with a contract.
