Not much else grows in the garden because of the weeds that steal space and smother the other crops. Only the memory of old labour remains, the symmetrical lines of plants now choked by dark shrubs. Their roots aren't deep and could be easily uprooted by a firm hand, but Lena lets them thrive. Few bright wild flowers paint the garden with blue, like a handful of star fragments.

Summary
After an experiment gone wrong, Lena wakes up the next morning in Kara's body in National City, assuming it's a dream.
Meanwhile, Kara wakes up in Lena's body in Metropolis, also thinking she's dreaming.
They begin switching bodies intermittently, not realising what's happening until the people close to them start pointing out how strange they've been acting recently.
Slowly, Kara and Lena come to terms with the fact that they're sharing bodies with a stranger in a different city. Communicating through notes and memos, they both help keep each other's life on track, trying to help each other along the way.
As they learn more about each other, they grow closer, developing a special connection. Desperately wishing they could meet, they seek each other out, but something other than distance is keeping them apart.

Summary
Blind Kara and deaf Lena AU.
Where Kara thinks Lena is a horribly rude and obnoxious person for ignoring a blind woman, even after several attempts of trying to rouse her silent companion, and Lena is completely deaf and oblivious, focusing all her attention on her cross-word puzzle until the blind woman’s furry friend captures both her attention and her heart.
