Gone was my soft bed and warm linens, replaced by a hard metal chair and rough bindings that dug into my wrists and ankles. My heart raced, and I fought to keep the rising panic at bay. My eyes were covered, and my head throbbed, but I was basically unharmed. It was cold and dank, and it smelled strongly of mould. A shiver ran the length of my body, goosebumps covered most of my exposed skin, and oh boy, my faded band t and boxer short combo left a lot of skin uncovered.

With my minimal teaching experience, I applied mostly out of desperation. The interview invitation came as a pleasant surprise.
I'm not completely caught up, so I don't know if the story of how Aizawa becomes a teacher is completely told. But this is my head canon on what happened.

Shouta Aizawa, the hero Eraserhead, knew it was a bad idea to give his phone number to his Students, but since moving into halls with them, he had become their main parental figure. Class 1A needed to know that they could rely on him and that he would be there if they needed him. And contact information was a subtle step towards that. He still felt the infringement on his very private life, there was the teacher, hero and cat dad Shouta and never would those mix, until now.
One evening, as Shouta settled at his desk to grade papers, his phone rang. It was Fumikage Tokoyami, typically a composed young man, who was in a state of panic. Aizawa could barely make out his plea for help. Just three minutes later, Eraserhead sprinted through the corridors of Class 1A’s dormitory, eyes ablaze and capture scarf flying. He knocked on door 14, and a frightened Tokoyami opened up.
