“I’m just an image right now.” He shoved his hands in his pockets, looking quite pleased with himself as he went on, “I picked up a few friends and we’re looking for a way through, but this is taking a lot of power; we’re orbiting around a supernova. Burning up a sun, just to make sure you know that I’m coming.”
Ten never managed to make contact with Rose after the battle of Canary Wharf. But two years (three if you count the one with the Master) He's managed to find a way to send a message. To let Rose know that he's coming to get her. And there's no power in the universe that can stop him

Summary
When Crowley is given the chance at a human life (birth to death, family, Free Will, the whole thing) he takes it. He does this, in part, to protect Aziraphale from being forced to take the same opportunity against his will.
However, once Crowley is off on this metaphysical adventure, Aziraphale follows after him, retaining his memories but becoming human himself so that he can watch over his friend.
Now the two of them are growing up together, one ignorant of their true forms and one all too aware of the strangeness of their situation.
Before it's over, the series will follow the two of them through childhood and into adulthood, eventually becoming romantic.
