Summary
Completely irreverent college AU. Lafayette is an overly-enthusiastic exchange student constantly vidchatting his girlfriend back in France; Laurens plays football except for when he's benched for getting too aggressive or injuring himself on the field; Hamilton, of course, is young, scrappy, and hungry, and he left the Virgin Islands on a full scholarship--not that the real details behind any of their lives come out until after many, many jokes about dicks and some poorly-advised life choices.
More characters come and go as needed, but this is heavily Gay Trio slice of life.

Alex shows him the small silver six-pointed star about a month after they’d met. “It was my mother’s,” he tells him. When John doesn’t get it, he explains, “I’m Jewish.” John listens, surprised, as Alex tells him about how he had grown up going to Jewish schools and synagogues, how when his mother had died, he and his brother had been able to shed the identity a bit as they bounced from home to home, how the reverend who had sent him to America had made him promise to get baptized there, how Alex told King’s College that he had been baptized at Princeton, how he had quietly kept his faith.

Summary
The Law Firm modern AU I have been threatening for a while.
John Laurens moves from London to join the NYC law firm formerly managed by his father and starts working with Alexander Hamilton, among others. Despite the fact that they're both clearly crazy about each other, being emotionally stunted and having weird ideas about self-sacrifice make things messy and complicated in a number of ways. And that's before the stresses of 90 hour weeks and unfortunately revealed secrets come into play...
This is predominantly a way for me to bitch about work and poke fun at some of the weirdness of life in a law firm.

Hamilton’s so young. Mulligan feels like a dick thinking it, because he’s hardly got that many years on him and he’s pretty sure the kid can handle himself in his own suicidally upfront way. It’s just jarring, the sophistication of even his drunken words the other night contrasting against his petulant face right now, against the way he swings his legs while he sits on Mulligan’s kitchen counter.

A John-Laurens-is-Batman AU that got started on Tumblr and that I decided to put over here. Consists of ficlets, fics, and possibly multipart things, this is still a work in progress. Chapters are not in chronological order, but their place in the timeline is in the chapter title, and any plot progression is either explained in-text or in notes. In any case, this AU mainly focuses on the characters and their relationships.
