Summary
Steve Harrington is a failure.

Hellfire Inc. is a tech company that has just developed a new relationship app to help you find your soulmate. After determining the matching percentage, it guides you through 5 weeks of dating to make sure you and your soulmate are ready to start this new relationship.
Founder Eddie Munson hasn’t been seen in public in five years, and now he’s about to be the test subject of his new app to try and maintain his board seat. He just didn’t expect to match with someone so different and yet so incredibly enticing.
They are supposed to be opposites, but Dustin’s calculations project that Steve and Eddie are soulmates. Can they work through their differences and find some common ground for the experiment’s sake, or will they end the whole thing hating each other?
Or worse, will they end the whole thing in love with each other?

Steve kisses him on a Thursday and he takes all the air in the room with him. Eddie doesn’t close his eyes. He’s too shocked to do much of anything, except sit there and let Steve take his face in those big hands and caress a thumb over his cheek while he presses their lips together. Eddie’s pretty sure he doesn’t move at all, glued to his spot on the couch, as if time has continued on around him while he’s stuck there.

Steve tilts his head, watching Eddie as Eddie tries to hold his gaze, and whatever this weird staring contest is about, Eddie feels like he’s losing, even if Steve’s the first to look away. Because his eyes dart down his body, briefly, but it’s enough for Eddie’s lungs to betray him with a sharp, audible inhale.
A corner of Steve’s lips twitches upwards before he finally answers.
“I mean… Didn’t know that was a payment option.”***
Needing some aid for his insomnia following the Starcourt Mall fire, Steve Harrington pays a visit to the known Hawkins dealer and former schoolmate Eddie Munson. There's a perfectly logical explanation as to why he ends up on his knees trying to get in the guy's pants. What baffles him is getting rejected and asked to leave.
Meanwhile, Eddie's having an existential crisis while trying to be a decent human being.

Summary
Steve is drunk.
He doesn’t know what time it is, anymore. He remembers Robin leaving, reminds promising her he’ll be okay, but that must’ve been hours ago, now. He watches as the condensation on his beer drips onto his thigh, making the light wash denim darken, and pretends he isn’t listening in on the conversation across the room.
It’s hard to make out with the party in full swing, with U2 still blaring from the speakers and a hoard of people between them, but Steve’s gotten good at reading body language. At reading expressions. At knowing who is a threat and who isn’t, and the three talking to Eddie Munson right now?
