    At sixteen, Sephiroth is proving to be an excellent Soldier. Just after his first mission, he begins to have strange dreams of a village burning. These dreams become a mystery where he's not the only one to have strange dreams; the only common interest is they're all about a young man with wild blond hair and blue eyes.

    And then North Corel Reactor is sabotaged and destroyed. Somehow this is connected to the dreams. Sephiroth makes a discovery when he faced Cloud Strife for the first time. A connection formed between them, albeit Cloud seems hesitant while Sephiroth is eager.

    Whatever can go wrong?

    Cloud gave up trying for Soldier. He returned to Public Security tail between his legs. It is there he learns a talent of mechanic as well as fixing swords and guns. He was so good Shinra gave Cloud a special job. The downside? He doesn't have help for the workload

    Turns out there's a drug problem going unchecked among Soldiers. Without a director, none of the board is listening to General Sephiroth about the matter.

    That all comes to an end when Rufus Shinra steps into the seat as President when his father passed. He called off the war. And he took General Sephiroth's concerns seriously. So now it's the matter of getting to the bottom of all this.

    Cloud just has bad luck to begin with. But maybe it will turn out better for him in the end.

    Cloud Strife was the outcast of Nibelheim by virtue of the fact that he dared to exist. It’s only when resident village storyteller, his Mama, made the mistake of telling the tale of the mythical wolf Fenrir, did general indifference toward the Strife boy become outright disdain.

    Because that’s when his fascination with wolves became an obsession.

    And for a while, Cloud was okay with that. He had something else to focus on. Even if his excitement made the adults scoff at him, or the children snicker, or Tifa even more embarrassed to be around him, he didn’t care.

    He had the stories. He had wolves. He had his Mama. What else would he need?

    He was fine.

    …

    At least, until he met Sephiroth.

    Then, he realized there might be more to life beyond mere contentment.

    General Sephiroth knew of this legend, so he decided to be cautious as they followed their guide to the reactor. And while Zack was skeptical of the legend, they all learn that there was some truth after all to the stories.
