Summary
“You know,” Sherlock says out of the blue on a sunny morning. “Mrs. Hudson used to tell me something funny.”
William hums without looking up from his newspaper to let Sherlock know he’s listening.
“She used to say,” Sherlock continues, “that if I ever found someone who could tolerate my living habits, I should marry them immediately.”
That gives William pause. He looks up from his newspaper.
“Oh?”
“Mhm,” Sherlock hums. “I’d laughed then, but…” He trails off. William desperately wishes Sherlock would turn around from where he continues to wash dishes, because these words—these words—
William is getting ahead of himself. Sherlock is saying these words in jest, of course, but a terrible, terrible urge in William wishes it anything but—if Sherlock would just turn so that William could see his teasing expression for himself, his terrible urge could be tamped down.
Sherlock does not turn.

“You…uh…” Whatever he was going to ask died in his throat as Alastor turned his head to nuzzle his palm.
Lucifer’s brain may have short circuited at that while other parts of him abruptly came online.
Alastor blinked, some of the newfound haziness leaving his eyes as he turned back to face him. He continued to lean into his touch. “You were saying?”
Oh, fuck, how had Lucifer never noticed how hot his voice was before?
“Uh…”
Husk started making frantic shooing motions too from where he stood by the doors.
“…you wanna see my rubber duck collection..?”
Alastor blinked. “What.”
Angel dropped his head back into his hands in defeat.

Alastor's rut comes earlier than expected. Lucifer volunteers as tribute. An awkward few days and one existential crisis later, Lucifer might just realize his budding feelings aren't as one-sided as he thought.

Yosano didn’t even let him finish stepping fully inside before she marched up and looked him over like he was a cadaver that had started talking.
“When,” she asked, voice flat and serious, “did you get yourself pregnant?”
The words hung there. Stupid. Heavy. Hilariously surreal.
Dazai blinked. Once. Twice. Slowly. He tilted his head, like maybe the angle would change the sentence.
“...Excuse me?”
The silence that followed wasn’t the funny kind. It was the kind that curdled the air, stretched out like a held breath. Yosano stared at him for a beat too long, then squinted—closer now, as though she could somehow scan his vitals through sheer force of will. Her expression slowly crumpled as the truth landed.
“Oh… oh. Oh, you didn’t know.”
