Maybe she was just answering an ancient call, one that every Addams had answered before her. Maybe it all hurt so much because her dislocated heart had to be fixed the old fashioned way, the way Grandmama would have fixed it, with a firm grip and a harsh wrench and twist. Maybe she just overthought everything when it came to Enid. She was categorically not thinking now.

This fucking girl.
“Fine,” Enid says in a small voice, scooting back on the bed.
She feels cowed and decidedly not turned on, shoved as far away from her as possible against the unforgiving headboard. This was not how she saw her Thursday afternoon going when she escaped to find some privacy.

A good bamboo shoot under the fingernails, the shock of a car battery against flesh, a needle to the ulnar nerve… and while she greatly preferred being tormentor over the tormented, Wednesday would prefer any number of tortures beside what was happening now…
Wednesday/Enid centric retelling of Season one and diverging into future events of their prolonged summer and relationship. Chapters 1-4 pretty much cover the events of season 1. Chapter 5 on begins the divergence and will continue.
