Summary
Failure. Unbearable failure.
The heartbreak is worse than your wounds, worse than the angry teeth in your flesh, worse than knowing you are moments from death.
You will die having failed. Your vow broken.
The vision is already fading, but you haven’t seen enough yet. You force your Sight to remain open, to at least capture more of the eyes that seem to be the source of your torment.
They belong to a man, a beautiful one, with silver hair and pointed ears. An elf. A spawn.
The vision snaps closed.

Summary
Buffy Summers is the Slayer, which comes with a heap of responsibility and the need to avert apocalypses. Lately, her biggest problems are her annoying sister and her relationship with post-super-soldier Riley. But the greatest evil she's faced is lurking in the shadows. Her well-balanced life veers dangerously toward trouble, especially when a certain Impala rolls into town.
Dean Winchester's family has hunted Yellow-Eyes for over a decade, but every time they close in, the demon moves on. The hunt leads them to Sunnydale--hardly a surprise considering the Hellmouth draws demons like flies to honey.
But Dean's caught off guard when Sam wants to stay and finish high school. Sam's always been the smart one, and Dean can't help wanting better for his brother. Besides, there are worse places to train than vampire-infested Southern California.
Doesn't hurt that the Slayer is easy on the eyes. Dean's not sure he's got a shot with her, but he's good in a fight.
And there are plenty of battles to win.
(My goal is to write this so that you don't need to be familiar with either show. Knowing the cannon could help you predict what might happen).

Summary
After Crait, Rey retreats to Jakku to grapple with her past... and her unwelcome attraction to Kylo Ren.
--
Kylo Ren was a monster. A murderer. So why couldn’t she stop thinking about him?
Rey was already a bad Jedi, so in the dark of the AT-AT that had sheltered her during her vulnerable years, she gave in to the allure of the fantasy. Kylo Ren’s tall frame and big hands, his dark hair and hungry eyes. His desperation as he’d said “Please.” The sheer size of him, combined with the peek at his vulnerabilities she’d gotten from this strange, antagonistic Force bond.
As if she’d summoned him, his consciousness brushed against her own, dark and tempting.
You hate me, he said in her mind.
There wasn’t a word to encompass how she felt about him. Yes, she agreed, ignoring the twinge of guilt.
