“Does not mean I forgive you by the way. Fuck you.” Melone says, finally, voice returning to her—it feels oddly good to hear her sound annoying again.
It’s in the way Ghia nods, pats Melone on the shoulder and immediately goes back to pretending to ignore her (Prosciutto can see their hands, Melone seeking his out to hold. He doesn’t resist) that Prosciutto, for the first time, sees how these two people could like each other. How they could be in love.
In that moment, he acknowledges he cares for them. A little bit.
