He can survive on his own. He knows how. It won't even be that hard. And being on the run in his animagus form makes him a feel a little closer to Sirius, anyway.
At least, he thinks so, until he's picked up by a pet store, sold to a classmate, and brought right back to Hogwarts where the state of things is so bad that he's actually glad he's expelled.

Weirdly, his new next door tenant with a fake name and a bad haircut also doesn't have any reason to avoid any of the Avengers.The new guy is weird, but not in a bad way. He's weird in the way that makes Clint want to stick around and resist falling for him (as long as no world renowned super powerful agencies step in their way).
