“A secret,” he repeats. “I frequently steal sugar quills from Theo’s desk. Does that count?”
Hermione is about to suggest they check one of the doors, but she stops when Draco snorts. He holds the paper back out towards her. “It changed to say a worthy secret,” he says. “Rude bit of parchment we have here.”
She looks down at the paper, and sure enough, the words are different. She furrows her brows. “What counts as a worthy secret?” she wonders aloud. And more importantly, what cosmic force is making her divulge such a secret to Draco bloody Malfoy?

“What the fuck, Malfoy?” Ron bellowed. “Stop kissing her.” He rounded on Hermione then, his face screwed up in outrage and confusion. “What did you do that for?”
Dazed, Hermione blinked at him, absently thinking he looked a bit like a gaping fish.
“Oh,” Malfoy smirked. “I do apologize. I spent the summer at our French Chateau and kissing is a customary greeting in France.” He didn’t look remotely repentant.
“I didn’t see you kissing anyone else like that,” Ron spat, still eyeing Hermione suspiciously.
“Hm?” Malfoy asked, distracted, looking at Hermione, his knuckles brushing her cheek.
Hermione felt hot all over.

Draco returns from a summer in France with an insatiable thirst to French kiss Hermione (especially in front of one Ron Weasley).
